Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Dave Bolos—through conversations, community activities, and watching how he’s carried himself through both the highs and lows of this campaign. What I’ve consistently seen is someone with integrity, exceptional team-building skills, and an ability to work constructively even with those who initially opposed him (I was one of them).
Dave is an experienced leader. He’s spent over 12 years in real estate leadership, managing large budgets and teams of people. This private sector experience directly translates to the challenges of city leadership. Even during his campaign, I’ve watched him reach out to people outside our community who will be able to help Farr West—his networking skills across different organizations and industries are unmatched.
But what sold me is Dave’s unyielding focus on community input as a demonstrated top priority. He’s committed to expanding our city’s resident outreach methods and effectiveness. Dave and I share a desire to get community input earlier in our planning process, and his collaborative approach—constantly welcoming and actively seeking more opinions—shows a dedication to bringing more members of our city to the discussion.
As many residents have seen, a fresh approach to community involvement and feedback is what our city really needs right now. In my own experience moving from planning commission to city council, I’ve witnessed firsthand the value that new voices and perspectives bring to local government. Dave is going to serve this community well in this moment.
Both candidates would do a fantastic job in different ways—Farr West is fortunate to have two people of this caliber willing to serve. But Dave’s vision for deeper community engagement and his proven leadership abilities make him the right person for our next mayor.
