Running for City Council

Hi, I'm Jason Anderson, and I'm running for Farr West City Council. I'm proud to call this community home, and I'm excited for the opportunity to help shape its future. Moving Forward Together: An Update on the City Council Race
I want to provide you with an important update on our city council race. Due to candidate withdrawals, there are now only two candidates remaining for the two open city council positions - Katie Williams and myself. While this means the outcome is effectively determined, I want to share that I'm continuing to actively campaign through election day.
First, I want to acknowledge the candidates who withdrew from the race. I know both of them personally, and they are great people, fantastic neighbors, and they serve our community well. Their decision to step back doesn't diminish their value to Farr West.
The residents of Farr West deserve to know who will represent them. Even when the electoral outcome is certain, I believe you have the right to understand my vision, priorities, and approach to city governance. This is also an invaluable opportunity for me to hear directly from you about the issues that matter most to our community and how you believe our city government should serve you.
Your trust must be earned, not assumed. Whether in this race or any future campaign, I want to demonstrate that I'm someone who believes in putting in the work to earn your vote. Public service is about more than winning elections – it's about building relationships, understanding community needs, and showing up consistently for the people you serve. I'm eager to use this opportunity to get to know even more of our residents and learn from your experiences.
Moving forward, I'll continue participating in candidate forums and community events, placing yard signs throughout our neighborhoods, and most importantly, making myself available for conversations with residents across Farr West. I encourage you to reach out, ask questions, and share your thoughts on how our city council can best serve you.
I'm deeply grateful for the support and encouragement I've already received from so many of you, including the positive feedback about my current community involvement. I look forward to the opportunity to serve Farr West in this new capacity and to continue working together to make our city an even better place to call home.
